last night the baby slept for eight hours. in a row. meaning that Gavin and I also slept for as close to eight hours as our work and life schedules would allow.
love her.
my best friend's mom told me that my best friend was sleeping through the night at four weeks. so here's to hoping that Juniper will have a similarly glorious temperament.

I'm currently reading the section of A General Theory of Love about child raising and wondering if you are following its strong and sensible recommendation to sleep with your baby (or have her sleep with you, if you like), which every country in the world but the US seemingly advocates and practices, or whether you are following, perhaps unwittingly?, the American Freudian inspired practice of leaving her in her own little bed? what are those called, bassinets?
Well, I hope for your sake that your lack of posts since the July 10 "victory" does not imply that every night since then you have experienced "defeat"! Hang in there!
How is the hammock working out? Is she sleeping better?
