the end of the day

the contractions have gotten a lot more erratic, although they are quite intense. I spoke to the doula, midwife, and acupuncturist, all of who encouraged me to get as much rest as possible. the midwife says it's totally normal for first time moms to go into labor and then stall for a while, even for a few days. so we'll see. for the moment, I'm just going to try to get some sleep tonight and see what happens tomorrow. also, for the record, contractions hurt ;).
